The lost hope, Herat 2012
Painter Rashed Rahmani with his work called “lost Hope”
Rashed paints daily life in Afghanistan. His works are regularly bought by Afghans and expats. He painted it just after having found out that an ISAF soldier “accidentally” killed 15 children. For him, it symbolizes hope and freedom that has been killed, because as long as children are being killed, there is no hope for the future. Despite this he still hopes and he keeps on painting.
